MERCEDES OHLEN

Mercedes Ohlen is a writer and comedian based in Los Angeles.

​

She is the co-founder of HAIL MARY HARRY PRODUCTIONS alongside her comedy partner, Marta Myers. Their debut production, SISTER WIVEZ, written by Marta, will premiere at the HOLLYWOOD FRINGE FESTIVAL in June 2026.

 

Their episodic web series, WOMAN ISLAND!, and multi-media, character-based, live mockumentary, DISTINGUISHED YOUNG WOMEN, will premiere later this year.

Mercedes is the co-founder, co-producer, and co-head writer of her sketch comedy team, THANK YOU FOR APPLYING, which she started alongside Jake Collazo. She is also a member of the sketch comedy team Critical Booby.

​

You can see Mercedes' improv team, Björk Tribute Band, perform around Los Angeles. They host a monthly show called The Nü Experience at The Shared Experience Studio.

You can also see her perform with her other numerous improv groups including: Father Daughter Dance, Brassy Knuckles, and Madonna-Whore Complex.​

Mercedes is also the co-host and co-producer of don't get me sTARted, a podcast about The La Brea Tar Pits alongside her close friend Ava St. Clair. You can listen to full episodes on Spotify and YouTube.
